5.4/10

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the seafront with smart rooms and a fantastic view. The service was helpful, especially during a stressful time. However, the dining experience was mediocre with limited options and delays. Overall, it was a perfect location for us.

Rooms
5.0
Our modern room was supposed to be superior but felt small like a cell with a tiny window opening onto a noisy ventilator, affecting sleep quality.
Service
7.0
The staff, although overworked, were lovely and helpful, particularly during a stressful period. The bar staff and breakfast attendant were beyond helpful.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was perfect for us, right by the sea and central for night events.

6.8/10

The hotel had some ups and downs. The rooms were uncomfortably hot and cramped, but the service was friendly and efficient. The location was great, near the seafront and city center. Dining options were a bit hit and miss. Facilities were decent overall.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were very hot and uncomfortable, and some were too small for the furniture. Leaky shower heads added to the discomfort.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly, professional, and attentive, especially when handling complaints. However, there were minor oversight issues like forgetting tea until asked.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, being on the promenade and close to the city center. It was clean, tidy, and conveniently located near the pier.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its flaws, with items running out before breakfast ended and room service being pricey. However, there were good choices and attentive service.
Facilities
The hotel offered basic facilities, though nothing exceptional was highlighted.

The hotel is wonderfully located right opposite the sea, offering a great view. The rooms, though located deep in the hotel basement, are pet-friendly and include breakfast in the price. However, the noise from the water pump when using the shower can be quite loud.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are pet-friendly and include breakfast, but the noise from the water pump can be disruptive.
Service
6.0
The service was a bit lacking with one staff member being unresponsive and unfriendly. However, other staff members were more attentive.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location right opposite the sea is wonderful, but some maintenance work is needed on the outside of the property.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was average with self-service buffet options. The food quality was passable but not exceptional for the price range.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were decent, but regular replenishment of freshly cooked food is needed in the dining area.

The hotel provided a mix of experiences. The rooms were clean and tidy with a lovely big bed, but the TV didn't work initially. Although we received vouchers for WiFi access, the internet was not safe. The lower floor had some noise issues from the lifts, and our room, despite being paid for with a window, only offered views of a fire escape. The heating/ventilation fan was noisy, and the decor was outdated. The car park also incurred an additional fee. The staff were good, but the overall experience did not meet the expected four-star standard.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and tidy, with a comfortable big bed.
Service
6.0
The staff was helpful in finding us another room with the right adaptions but lacked overall good manners and comfort.
Location
6.0
The hotel's basement location made it less disabled accessible than expected, but its proximity to the beach was ideal.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs with a brilliant breakfast selection but disappointing coffee and limited choices.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities needed updating and were not at the expected four-star level.

The hotel had an amazing view during my 4-day break, and the extra bed was a nice addition. However, the room we specifically paid extra for had a disappointing window view of the fire escape, limited ventilation, and a noisy heating system. The room felt hot, stuffy, and had outdated decor, far from a four-star standard, more like a two-star at best. Even the car park came at an additional cost of £8 per night, adding to the expenses.

Rooms
5.0
The room had an amazing view during my 4-day break, and the extra bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the room we paid extra for had a disappointing view of the fire escape, poor ventilation, and a noisy heating system.
Service
7.0
The service, especially during busy times, was excellent, although some staff seemed to be in training. They were polite and even suggested taking stairs when needed.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was great for beach access and exploring the town, providing a beautiful setting by the water and a short walk to the Pier and downtown shops and restaurants.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was slow, and the dining experience was not cheap considering the hotel's appeal. However, the food quality was excellent.
